Merlin IV: The Voyage Home

This was the last prototype built in the Merlin series. Though its design dates from 1987, it was only started in late 1992.

Based on the 32 bit VL86C010 Acorn RISC machine processor, the prototype includes 4MB of DRAM and 256KB of EPROM. It has a 256 VGA resolution video output, stereo sound output and a simple sound input. There is an Ethernet interface and the machine uses a standard PC keyboard.
